Prescription Transfer Questions
Local prescription delivery is free.
Fill in the form on this page or call (407) 610-9090 with your current pharmacy's name and phone number and the prescription you want moved. We contact them, request the transfer, and let you know when it is ready. You do not need to collect anything from your old pharmacy first.
Exactly the same way as from anywhere else. Give us the store, the branch and its phone number if you have it, plus the medication name or prescription number, and we call them directly. Chain pharmacies handle transfer requests routinely; you do not need to speak to them yourself.
No. Pharmacy-to-pharmacy transfers are done pharmacist to pharmacist, and we make the call for you. All we need from you is which pharmacy holds the prescription and which medication you want moved. You are welcome to call them as well, but nothing about the transfer requires it.
Most transfers are completed the same business day, often within a couple of hours, provided the other pharmacy is open and answering. If your medication also has to be compounded, add the usual 24-48 hour preparation time on top. We will tell you which applies when we take the request.
Yes. List everything you want moved on the form or read it out over the phone and we will request them together, including prescriptions from more than one pharmacy. Some medications transfer differently, controlled substances in particular, so we will tell you if anything on your list needs handling separately.
Usually yes, but tell us it is a compounded prescription when you ask. We need the full formulation from the other pharmacy (the active ingredients, strengths, base, and dosage form), not just a drug name, because we have to prepare it rather than dispense it. If anything is missing or unclear, your prescriber can simply send us a new prescription.
No. Transferring a prescription to Pharmique is free, and there is no fee from your old pharmacy either. You pay only for the medication itself when it is ready. If it is a compounded prescription we will quote you the price before we prepare it.
Your coverage follows the prescription, not the pharmacy, so a manufactured medication is normally billed exactly as before, so bring your card and we will run it. Compounded medications are a separate question: many plans do not cover them regardless of which pharmacy fills them. We will check and tell you what it costs before you commit.
